Day 1- 2: Arrive in South Africa

  • Arrive at O. R. Tambo International Airport. Meet and greet as well as transfer by RAE Safaris.

  • Overnight and a day to acclimate at AfricaSky Boutique Lodge

  • A day tour within the Johannesburg Metropolis and an evening Worth Wild Africa presentation at the Hotel

Days 3-5: Pilanesberg Game Reserve

  • Three nights at Bakubung Bush Lodge in Pilanesberg Game Reserve

  • Open-vehicle game drives 

  • Hands-on chemical capture of a wild southern white rhino for horn trimming to mitigate poaching threats.

Days 6 - 9 Western Madikwe Game Reserve 

  • Depart for Madikwe Game Reserve, a premier game reserve in the Northwest province of South Africa.

  • Three nights at Rhulani Safari Lodge.

  • Daily game drives in the western part of the Madikwe Game Reserve.

Days 9 - 12: Eastern Madikwe Game Reserve

  • Three night at Madikwe Hills Safari lodge. This luxurious lodge set on a hilltop among Tamboti tees.

  • Time to explore the eastern side of the reserve

  • Daily open-vehicle game drives

Day 13: Transfer back to the Airport

  • After breakfast, road transfers to O.R. Tambo International Airport

  • Departure flights  

  • Connecting flights to Cape Town for optional extension
